1.              Scope

Except as otherwise described below, this Notice applies to the personal information we collect and process related to your use of our website, www.pelvicsanctuary.org, where this Notice is posted, and other websites that may display or include a link to this Notice (“Site” or “Sites”), and other products or services we make available to you, (collectively, “Services”).

Not in Scope. This Notice does not apply to the personal information that we collect and process about our employees, contractors, personnel, job applicants, or candidates.

Additional Notices. Depending on how you interact or engage with us, we may provide other privacy notices with additional details about our privacy practices. These additional notices will control to the extent there is a conflict with this Notice, with respect to your personal information that is subject to that additional notice.

We collect personal information directly from you, automatically through your use of the Services, and from third-party sources.

Personal Information Collected Directly. While the personal information we collect varies depending on how you interact with us, in general we may collect the following personal information directly from you:

●      Communications and interactions. When you email, call, submit an inquiry, or otherwise communicate or interact with us, we may collect and maintain a record of your contact information, your communications, and our responses. We may also maintain records of communications and information that you post to our social media channels, and information you provide to us related to requests for support.

●      Surveys. If you respond to our surveys, we may collect your contact information, and your survey responses including preferences, thoughts and opinions, and anything else you choose to share in response to the survey questions.

●      Events. If you register for or attend our online or in person events including the workshops, lectures, and pop-up events that we host or sponsor, we may collect personal information related to your registration for and participation in such event.

●      Volunteers. If you volunteer with us, we collect your contact information and other personal information related to your volunteer activities.

●      Resources. If you download our free resources, we collect your name and email address.

●      Donations. When you donate or otherwise contribute to Pelvic Sanctuary, we may collect and maintain a record of your name, email address, and address, as well as your payment information such as your credit card number, billing address, and contribution.

●      Preferences. We also may collect information about your preferences, such as communications preferences, preferences related to your use of our Services, demographic data, and any other preferences you provide when interacting with us.

Personal Information Collected from Third Parties. We may collect personal information about you from third-party sources, such as public databases, joint marketing partners, social media platforms, or other third parties.

·       If you post information about us or engage with us on third-party platforms, such as social media platforms, we may collect personal information about you from that third-party platform. Personal Information Collected Automatically. We automatically collect personal information related to your use of our Services and your interactions with us and others, including information we collect automatically (e.g., using cookies and pixel tags), as well as information we derive about you and your use of the Services. Such information includes:

●      Device and browsing information. We use cookies, log files, pixel tags, and other tracking technologies to automatically collect information when users access or use our Services, such as IP address, general location information, domain name, page views, a date/time stamp, browser type, device type, device ID, Internet service provider, referring and exiting URLs, operating system, language, clickstream data, and similar device and usage information.

●      Activities and usage. We also collect activity information related to your use of the Services, such as information about the links clicked, searches, features used, items viewed, time spent within the Service, files uploaded, and items you view.

●      Location information. We may collect or derive location information about you, such as through your IP address. You may turn off location data sharing through your device settings.

Generally, we collect, use, disclose and otherwise process personal information for the following purposes:

·       Services and support. To provide and operate our Services, communicate with you, respond to your inquiries and requests, process payments via our payment processors, communicate with you about the Services, and for similar service and support purposes.

·       Communications. To communicate with you, respond to your questions and inquiries, and send you newsletters and information about our events, programs, and projects.

·       Planning and managing events. For event planning and management, including registration, attendance, connecting you with other event attendees, and contacting you about relevant events and Services.

·       Research and surveys. To administer surveys and for research and analytics purposes such as for market research purposes or to determine the effectiveness of our Services.

·       Analytics and improvement. To better understand how users access and use the Services for other analytics purposes, such as to evaluate and improve our Services and operations, to develop Services and features, and for internal quality control and training purposes.

·       Marketing and advertising. For marketing and advertising purposes. For example, to send you information about our Services such as newsletters and other marketing content or information that you sign up to receive. We may also use certain information we collect to manage and improve our advertising campaigns so that we can better reach people with relevant content.

·       Security and protection of rights. To protect the Services and our business operations; to protect our rights or those of our stakeholders; to prevent and detect fraud, unauthorized activities, unauthorized access, and other misuse; where we believe necessary to investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety or legal rights of any person or third party, or violations of our Terms of Service.

·       Compliance and legal process. To comply with the law and our legal obligations, to respond to legal process and related legal proceedings.

·       Vendors and service providers. We may disclose personal information we collect to our service providers, processors, and others who perform functions on our behalf. These may include, for example, IT service providers, email service providers, payment processors, analytics providers, consultants, auditors, and legal counsel. We may also share aggregated or de-identified information derived from our Services and the personal information we collect, that does not identify or refer to any particular individual, for research, analytics purposes, and business development.

·       Third party platforms, providers, and networks. We may disclose or make available personal information to third party platforms and providers that we use to provide or make available certain features or portions of the Services, or as necessary to respond to your requests. We and our providers use cookies, pixels, local storage objects, log files, APIs, and other similar tracking technologies to automatically collect information about browsing activity, device type, and similar information within our Sites and Services. This information, which may be considered personal information in some jurisdictions, is used, for example, to analyze and understand how users access, use, and interact with our Sites and Services; to identify and resolve bugs and errors in our Sites and Services; to personalize content on our Sites; for marketing, advertising, measurement, and analytics purposes; and to assess secure, protect, optimize and improve the performance of our Sites and Services. Cookies. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your device’s hard drive through your web browser for tracking purposes. Some cookies make it easier for you to navigate our Services, while others are used to enable a faster log-in process, support the security and performance of the Services, or allow us to track activity and usage data within Service. 

Local storage objects. Local storage is a web storage mechanism that allows us to store data on a browser that persists even after the browser window is closed. Local storage may be used by our web servers to cache certain information in order to help enable pages and content to load faster when you return to our Sites. Third-Party Analytics and Tools. We use third-party tools to evaluate usage and traffic on our Sites and Services. Do-Not-Track. Currently, our Sites and Services do not recognize web browser “Do-Not-Track” requests. You may, however, disable certain tracking as discussed below (e.g., by disabling cookies).

We make available several ways for you to manage your preferences and privacy choices and to submit privacy requests related to your personal information, as described below:

The “Help” portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to prevent your device from accepting new cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to delete cookies. Visitors to our Site who disable cookies will be able to browse the Site, but some features may not function. If you visit our Site from a different device or from a different browser on the same device, you will need to apply your cookie settings for that browser and/or device as well.

·       Marketing Communications. We may send periodic promotional and operational emails or other similar communications to you. You may change your preferences or unsubscribe by following the instructions provided to you in the communication. If you opt out of receiving promotional emails from us, we may still send you communications that you have requested to receive from us.

Our Services are not designed for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We have implemented safeguards that are intended to protect the personal information we collect from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Please be aware that despite our efforts, no data security measures can guarantee security.

9.              Third-Party Links

Our Sites and Services may contain links to third-party websites. Any access to and use of such linked websites is not governed by this Notice, but instead is governed by the privacy policies of those third-party websites. We are not responsible for the information practices of such third-party websites.

10.           Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as otherwise necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain appropriate business records, and enforce our agreements.
